Precision Chromed Piston Rods - C45/1045 Steel (0.4μm Hard Chrome) for Press Machines

C45 (DIN) and 1045 steel piston rods feature a 0.4 µm hard-chrome coating, followed by de-hydrogenation to prevent hydrogen embrittlement, making them suitable for presses operating at ≥60 MPa. The rods undergo quenching and tempering plus surface hardening (1–2 mm hardened depth). The 0.4 µm chrome layer works synergistically with the substrate to withstand alternating impact loads, ideal for main-cylinder piston rods in stamping and forging presses.
